People say Islam is easy. How can Islam be easy when there are Volumes of books on Fiqh, Tafsir of Hadith and Tafsir of Quran and a majority of the population will never be able to study traditionally under a shaykh. So why do people say Islam is easy when we will never hear an A’lim say that, “I breezed through my studies”
Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,
Islam has many dimensions.
As for fulfilling the basic obligations that Allah has made incumbent
upon us, this is easy: it requires only limited knowledge, and limited
time.
As for becoming realized in the perfections of the guidance of the
Most Perfect of Creation, our Beloved Messenger of Allah (Allah bless
him and give him peace), this is a life long struggle, for the
perfections of the Beloved of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace)
are countless.
Similarly, the essential knowledge every believer needs is easy to
learn.
As for the depths of knowledge and realization, this is a life-time
quest
