Three-Part Division of Divine Oneness (Tawheed) – Rooboobiyah, ”Uluhiyah, Asma was Sifat
Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani, SunniPath Academy Teacher
Some advocate tauheed to be divided into three parts, rooboobiyah, uloohiyah, asma was siffat. While some maintain that tauheed is one, and the attributes of Allah (jalla Jallala hu) are that he is wajib ul wujood (necessary existence), beginingless, endless, self-subsistent, Oneness. Is this division of three correct? If so, where and when did it first appear?
Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

This division of Tawhid is used by our Salafi brethren to attack others for things differed upon–or even errors–that they label as shirk. This is why the ulema have criticized this division. Otherwise, we obviously affirming the Oneness of Allah in all these three matters
