Zaytuna Institute is pleased to announce its first Summer Arabic Intensive, an eight-week language program to be held in Berkeley, California. Based on a communicative approach to studying Arabic, the program provides introductory- and intermediate-level students with a rigorous, complete-immersion language experience in an Arabic-only environment, integrating the acquisition of listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills at an accelerated pace. By the end of the program, introductory students who have successfully completed all requirements will be qualified to enroll in a second-year university Arabic course, while intermediate graduates will be qualified to take advanced-level courses. As the only university-level Arabic intensive offered by a Muslim seminary in America, the program also offers students optional instruction in Qur’anic recitation (tajweed) and memorization (hifz).Highlights:
